5 Putting into operation

5.17 Attaching and removing evaporating ﬂasks

Evaporating ﬂasks are available in different types and sizes to meet all kinds of application require-

ments. However, the maximal load on the rotational ﬂange must not exeed 20 kg!

CAUTION

Risk of minor or moderate injury by heavy weight of the evaporating ﬂask.

• Clean and dry the exterior of the ﬂask before installation and removal

• Lift the ﬂask carefully and avoid overexertion

• Do not drop the ﬂask

• Savely support the ﬂask at handling

• Savely store the ﬂask onto a matching ﬂask ring or holder

• Keep limbs out of crushing zone

WARNING

Risk of serious burns by hot heating bath content.

• Do not drop any parts into the heating bath

• Wear protective clothes against hot liquid spills

Drive down the heating bath.

Support the evaporating ﬂask by hand or with the optional ‘Manual ﬂask handler’ (order no.

41400). Lift the lever of the snap ﬂange. See also section 5.10 for correct adjustment of the

lever tension!

Swivel out the right half of the snap ﬂange.
