4.8 Installation of the Descending Glass Assembly

All glassware used must be intact, with no signs of cracks,

spreading impact marks, or other damage. Inspect the glass-

ware visually before installing it.

s &IXTHEDESCENDINGDISTRIBUTORHEAD햲 in position on the

gear head using the DN 70 EasyClamp connection.

s &IT THE COOLING WATER HOSE NIPPLES 햳 to the two or, if

appropriate, three coolers 햴.

s 0UTTHEEXPANSIONVESSEL햵 onto the distribution head

햲 and secure it with the DN 40 EasyClamp connection.

s &ITTHETHREEWAYlTTING햶 onto the receiver using the DN

25 EasyClamp connection.

s 3ECURETHECOOLERHOLDER햷 to the two or three coolers

햴, as appropriate, and insert in the pivoting clamps 햸.

s &ITTHEVACUUMCONNECTOR햹 or the third cooler.

s &ITTHEBRANCHINGPIECE햺 on the cooler 햴 and the ex-

pansion vessel 햵 and connect it using the EasyClamp

connection. Align the glass components in a vertical

position and secure them using the pivoting clamps 햸.

s &ITTHEINLETTAP햻 into the distribution head and tighten

the SVL 30 nut.

s 3CREWTHETEMPERATURESENSOR햽 into the branching piece

햺.

s 4IGHTENALL%ASY#LAMPCONNECTIONSEVENLYANDINPARALLEL
